*mind boggles*

Wow. I am incredibly behind on the times (school/job/moving/family drama and various things having stolen my free time over the past year...) on all things Doctor Who, but what the heck? New Logo!

Weeeeirdness!

...and now to watch the first Matt Smith episode.

*crosses fingers and hopes he's really good*

Fear not. Smith is being rightly compared to Patrick Troughton and Tom Baker. About twenty minutes into "The Eleventh Hour", I liked him, and by episode six ("Vampires of Venice"), I was in love.

(Not at all like Tennant, though. Which probably helps.)

Also: new theme arrangement! Took me a while, but I like it now.

Wow, I *thought* there was something else odd about the opening sequence...

But anyway, after finishing "The Eleventh Hour," I do rather like him. He did remind me a lot of Tennant in the first half, actually... the very same accent as well.

That's the weird part. The Tennant-ness goes away. I mean, I think he's written the same (I find it very easy to imagine Tennant saying any and all of his lines), but the interpretation is different. It's less energetic and more... loony.
