Tentatively.

Maybe the Supreme Court will surprise us all. Maybe the Biden admin's last-minute punt to the Trump admin will somehow land?

Either way, I continue diligently chipping away at downloading and screenshotting various chats, posts and pictures I want to archive from my past 20 years in Meta's ecosystem. I still have no idea what to say when I tell everyone I'm deleting my account... it's so terrifying. 

I started setting things up in Bluesky. It's so unfamiliar and overwhelming. I was brave enough to download REDnote, but not brave enough to put my phone number in to finish creating an account. So many things are happening so quickly, I'm paralyzed by indecision quite frequently these days.

I think I've managed to grab hold of a life raft. The Good Ship DreamWidth appeared out of the fog to rescue this stranded traveler from the slowly sinking wreckage of LJ.

GOD BLESS open source developers! Porting in all of my LJ entries took mere minutes. Granted, I need to sift through the whole lot and edit/delete/private as needed, but it seems to have worked like a dream, pun intended.

As this new year gets underway, I hope to get my bearings and sail into calmer waters.
