The Midwest Loch Ness

Hehe, I'm perfecting my english accent.. it's getting pretty good, actually! I could almost pass as a Brit now!
hmmm... Dakota fanning was on THREE talk shows today! that is just.. impossible?
ahh.. went to Borders today. why does that book shop always seem to calm me down? oh. well that's obvious *smacks her forehead* I love books!!!!!!!

But something i overheard there just struck me as odd. A mother and daughter were talking- a normal amusing interlude- you know the funny little things people say when browsing for books.

Mum- You know what this is, I've been looking for it all over, and here it is!
girl-*smiles at her mom as if she's crazy* er..
mum-You know how these are catalogued..?
Girl-yeah, they-
Mum-By the authors' names, and look, this is in the T section, but it begins with tr and it's in between ti and th! Now why is it there..?
girl- *rolls her eyes, looks more embarrassed* oh mom! *both are walking away* don't question things! I mean.. you don't question natural phenomina.....

Okay, i know she was probably just joking, but, it's just so darned typical now! it's aggravating! My own generation is falling apart from normal ways of thinking, they just.. arent thinking for themselves anymore. Hence the "don't question things" attitude. Public schools today are just making things worse and worse.. it wont get better until someone finally realizes that the "science" and "social studies" classes are now the official sunday schools of Secular Humanism. it just makes me mad!
Of course, i wasnt mad in the store (never, ever, since that's what calms me down!) but it just stuck in my brain and got bigger and bigger until i just had to let it out!
so there! I've let it out.. phew!
